The D28 is an ultra-compact, high-speed color duplex scanner. Unlike other compact scanners, the solidly built D28 scans letter-sized documents in a mere 2.2 seconds. Designed to scan both documents up to legal size and plastic ID cards, the D28 can be used to capture all the information you need right at the point of transaction. For ease of use, nine scanning presets can be custom programmed for different applications or even multiple users. The entire scanning process is then as simple as selecting a preset and pressing the simplex or duplex scan button. Tasks such as creating PDF files and storing or sending them become completely automated processes. You can even pre-program commonly used functions such as scan-to-mail or scan, OCR and open text in a desired application, all with one press of a button.

At less than 4” by 12” the D28 can be deployed practically anywhere. A choice of paper output options, straight through or vertical provides added placement flexibility. In addition, a clamshell design allows easy access to glass and rollers, easy to clean. The D28 includes a comprehensive software bundle that includes ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint for OCR and NewSoft MaxReader 4.1 for organizing Asia language, and NewSoft Presto! PageManager 7.10 for document management, NewSoft Presto! Image Folio 4.5 for photo management.
